"Pathway to Gainful Careers"

In partnership with Central Virginia Community College (CVCC), Legacy College will be launching a new program titled “Pathway to Gainful Careers.” Randy Dunton, Executive Director of Legacy College says, “Our Pathway to Gainful Careers Program is designed to provide oppurtunity and advantage to students. The combination of accredited academics, life skills education and empowerment.” Students will be recruited and selected for the fall 2020 class. This program will provide more resources and oppurtunities to succeed that are sometimes difficult to obtain with barriers like poverty.

By partnering with CVCC, opportunities will be expanded across the greater Lynchburg area.

Accredited Academics

Pathway to Gainful Career Academic Classes are offered in partnership with Central Virginia Community College. CVCC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Career Development Assistance Funds

Legacy Education Center students are required to advance their career readiness development through the LEC nonprofit work-study experience. CDAF is established as a way to help students earn personal income and gain experience without compromising their academics. Through the CDAF program students will hone their time management, problem-solving and other soft skills. These are the type of life skills that will benefit the student well beyond college and will boost their resume to give the student an edge when job hunting.
